For under $15 you can ride in a shared, air-conditioned airport transfer or a private transfer from $50. The cheapest and easiest way to do that is to book online here. To get from Kayseri (or Nevsehir) you need to pre-book your shuttle or be prepared for an expensive taxi. It is very convenient and quick to fly into Kayseri and I did it twice. The big difference here is that Kayseri is a bigger airport, with more flight options, and often has cheaper flights. Nevsehir Kapadokya Airport (/40km/40 minutes is the secondary airport, which is closer to Goreme but only by about 20 minutes.Kayseri Airport (70km/60 minutes) is the main airport and takes just over an hour by van/bus to reach Goreme Town. There are two airports that serve Cappadocia. These are my photos from the sunset at Lover’s Hill Sunset Point in Goreme (for sunset). It’s a chilled-out vibe and I genuinely enjoyed it even though it was quite crowded. Lots of couples were splitting a bottle of wine or there were groups sharing a big rug while each sipping on a beer. There is a small restaurant at the top that does some food but mostly tea, coffee, wine, and beer. It may seem like the view will be the same the whole way but as you can see from my photos, it can change quite a bit. By doing this I also had new views of Goreme Town and Red Valley, so I do highly advise walking along the whole ridge while you are up there. I preferred to walk around the ridge finding my own little spot and continually changing my position for new angles and also to people-watch as I went along. It’s always full of people but is actually quite a good spot for a regular photo. At the top of the hill, there is a wooden platform that overhangs the cliff a bit. ![]()
